This site has gone through a few iterations, and while it has never been much in terms of web design (and never will be), it's now using a couple of bits of useful code. Currently the most complicated part is the sidebar. The sidebar is constructed by an included php page, which traverses my project directory and adds any .html files to the menu. The project directory can be a maximum of 3 levels deep, as anything more than that looks a little ridiculous as a nested menu, and is very hard to navigate through without having to start again.
here's the php that generates the sidebar, and the css that styles it. Feel free to modify, distribute, and do whatever you want with it.
